Con additions make a big impact, especially if there are a lot of them. If over the course of 5 seasons we are increasing multiple players CON value by 40-50 points, its just outrageous/unrealistic.
Guys who stick around the NHL become more consistent over the course of their career but I'd like to limit how much/how often/how many players would get this. Again, I think the file is basically OK as is.

If we're thinking of this logically and in a way we can all vote upon, I see this as the way forward. Stephen, I'm happy to set this all up, just let me know. After we know how many GMs respond here (and perhaps make it a mandatory activity check?) we can then ask follow up questions/options. I'm thinking a "low, medium, high" improvements plan for players, values to choose for injury slider increase, values for booms/busts in the draft, etc.
All GM-less teams should get the player rewards automatically and again, we can track them via a google doc.

IIRC 1.15b is not great on the goalies and physical D men) Vote 1c: Agree to Deferred Retirement option for players? - NO (if scrub CSB players are force retired, this should not be an issue + today's NHL most guys are out of the league by 34ish) Vote 1d: Agree to increase injury slider? I just see this as creating more work for Stephen trying to fix lines) Vote 1e: Agree to more booms/busts in the draft? - YES (100% yes with a freaken asterisk... if I had to add only one change to this league, this would be it 100%, my absolute favorite part of the old GHL and always wanted 20+ booms and busts per draft... similar to real life. Also gives picks much more worth than they have currently) Vote 1f: Agree to "Interim GM" for teams that do not have a GM? - YES (pretty much a staple in any EHM league, I would even go so far as award "small" bonuses to GM's that volunteer). All in all, great stuff boys. Like the open dialog and the attitude of change without getting too crazy.

I think we have to be careful as we are now running the risk of overly complicating simple things. We should not need to use a google docs spreadsheet etc to track anything. We will create a section on the forums for teams to post the increases that have been achieved. The pot increases apply only to players with a pot less then 7, con increases stop at 80. If a player gets 20+ Con increase in one season then so what....increases stop at 80. None of the reward ideas will skew the players file at all to be perfectly honest. No superstars or even star players will be created from them. The effects of con has been debated ad nauseam and after all these years I can honestly say increase a player to a maximum of 80 will not badly affect the league. 1a - yes 1b - yes - lets try it for this off season and then evaluate the results and whether we should continue 1c - yes 1d - no 1e - yes 1f - yes - Why is this even a vote? All GMless teams are actually already being cared for. We have done this in the GHL since its original inception. Not trying to be a prick but this should not be a voting option.

A) Yes, but only CON, Leadership and Penalty B) Yes C) Yes...many franchise players retire too early in this game D) Yes...bump it to 120. not enough injuries E) No...with the incentives coming into play, I think we already have enough boom/busts F) Yes...but I don't think these GMs should receive any extra incentives for doing so

Thanks for continuing the discussion on this. The draft: I tried to use 1.15b last time but maybe I got it wrong. This time I am going to run 1.15b and 1.16 alongside each other until the new players are out and then we can compare files. We'll run with the 1.15b what ever the outcome is as there is no way I can duplicate randomised game decisions on two files, but it will let us see if it works or not and we can move forward on the next draft from there. Pot Increase: I would still like to use Potential increases as a reward, but I will limit it to a maximum increase to Potential 7 and limit it to under 21's. That shouldn't create any superstars but could help with a bit of depth on teams that the draft isn't. Ceiling Increase: Sorry, not going to happen. We tried this in the last league and we couldn't get it right. We just ended up with teams of 99 stat players all over the place. I don't want to risk that happening again. Boom and Busts: I increased the Booms last season from 8 to 10 and kept the busts to 4. I'll stick with that this year as I think 10 is a good amount. Game sliders: I'll increase the sliders for injuries to 120, but GM's will need to keep track of their lines and injuries. I also want to increase penalty and fighting sliders to 140. GM Less teams: I think i've managed them pretty well this season, other than trades, but thats because i'm abysmal at trades. Any help would be appreciated. Better yet, new GM's people. We'll talk about this more over the off season as I do want to reward activity, help, recruitment etc but not sure how just yet. We are probably looking at 10 GM less teams this season, which is the highest we've ever had. I'm not sure where we can recruit from. Suggestions? Rewards: This is a revised version of what I want to do. I've lowered the Pot limit to 7 as mentioned above and removed the rewards for Pro team finishing places. I'll leave the con maximum level at 80 for now and may look at increasing it next season if we find its not enough this season. Award | Reason

Stephen, regarding the game versions for the draft. you switch to 1.15b before the rollover that brings us into the new season where all the contracts expire and players hit free agency (brings us to the end of August). The new draft class is created during that rollover
