If you want players to stick around longer get rid of some trash players in the drafts.... more players come in the file more have to go You get out of here with that logic stuff Lebas. Assuming this could be done real easily by force retiring some old/untalented prospects every year? Absolutely love the initiative Stephen on your change suggestions for next year... and will provide some personal "for what it's worth" feedback... but I must say Joe took the words right out of my mouth as per below. "I am also concerned that we leave some teams in the dust. We have what, 5-10 teams looking for GMs? Someone has to look after those teams to make sure the boosts are provided for everyone, not just teams with GMs. If we don't do it, the "parity gap" just gets wider. Think its hard to get GMs now, then have teams literally barren with awful drafts behind it...bad news."
Going to take some serious attention by some dedicated dudes to A) get in all these bonues for their own team B) get in bonuses for GMless teams. Assuming due to the copious amount of bonuses this would all be done end of year? I also look at my team the Kings... I'm not trying to tank, I hate rebuilding and I pretty much ruined my top 5 team by making bad choices... most of these changes are not going to help me as a crappy to mediocre team, but they are sure going to help the good teams get better. On the very plus side, this file is going to be full of talented low conners... this reward system really changes your draft thinking... ie instead of drafting guys as "con boosters" and trading them away, we actually have the opportunity to develop them ourselves, which I think is awesome. My apologies ahead of time for this less than organized response... but loving the league direction and input as a whole!

If you want players to stick around longer get rid of some trash players in the drafts.... more players come in the file more have to go I already edit out any player a certain age to make room for new players and to ensure plenty of ufa players. I could lower the age to 20+

I also suggest that the injury slider be increased. I went through the entire season without sustaining any real injuries, which is pretty unlikely

I can give you all the injuries you want

I can give you all the injuries you want I'm just saying that I think that slider is low. Injuries are apart of the game and I find that injuries league wise were quite low

I'll think about the slider. I agree that injuries are an important part of the game. Injuries are absolutely and utterly the thing I hate the most when simming. It's such a pain in the arse and gives me a massive headache and wakes up the neighbours with excessive swearing. It's a pain in the arse when it happens in a sim and its a pain in the arse when GM's with injured players dont update their lines and its a pain in the arse when they then complain i've sent down the wrong player. In short, its a pain in the arse.
Did I mention, its a pain in the arse? but i'll think about it.

Demote the lowest oa guy or a guy that doesnt have to clear waivers. And make it mandatory we have a extra forward and D man pro. Injuries happen fill in the blank. People neglect demote lowest oa guy and if he has to clear demote a guy who doesnt even its his best player.
Maybe a quick pm to inform of injury? Dont wanna add work. But having a functional farm for depth is fun too.

The extra forward and D can help, but how would any of us feel if our 13th forward gets put in place of our best player for as many as 3 games? I get the idea that more injuries would make sense, but I also definitely get Stephen's position regarding work levels

Well I had last years rookie of the year put on waivers and picked up.... so there has to be some sort of consistency with this process... and no he was not lowest oa guy at all

The rewards look good except for the rewards for the top three pro teams. Please remove them as they just make strong teams even stronger. Also please make the maximum con for both players and goalies to be 80. Don't limit goalies to 75 as they should be able to get to the cap of 80.
