Yeah but something needs to be done about weak drafts pools

I normally would agree with Juha on this but that down the road random boosting sounds like one of the newer better ideas ive heard. Be a kick in the thingy if you traded them and they boosted.

But random boosting does add a bit a realism to player development

I just like the idea of it being done 2-3 sim years later

So any decisions made from what we discussed here?

Yeah, as much as recruiting new guys helps, we need to find a way to keep them here once they join. Lots of missed sims, dragged out draft/playoffs and no talent in the draft beyond the 5-10 picks is really hurting us. Not blaming anyone, just re-iterating that an extra simmer would do this league wonders. Extra boosts are great and all, but there's still a lot of uncertainty. I've been in this league since it's first season, I've yet to have a guy boom or bust. There should be enough guys in the draft who can become at worst a solid 3rd line forward / 4th-5th d-men in the draft who don't need boosts to fill the first round.

Extra boosts were a great addition on the fly, big kudos Stephen on the call... but ya the draft is hurting me the most. As someone who's favorite part of EHM is the draft, I probably spent about 5 minutes scouting before I just filtered out guys with the highest Shoot/Hit ceiling and called it a day in hopes a magical boost would give me something that could play in pro's one day... truthfully I could of just BPA'ed past the 40th ish pick and gotten pretty much identical players to any sort of scouting, which is a bit of a downer.
Starting to side with Lebas and Juha on the "no to boosts" but also starting to feel like there is a reason no other leagues roll "vanilla" EHM like most older leagues did back in the day.
- after the fact boosts are a solid unique idea, but would like to see them restricted to players on teams... ie (maybe anyone age 20 - 24 without UFA status). Thinking if you boost UFA's that gives a big advantage to the active GM's, who are already pretty set in this league and hurts the less active guys and GM'less teams. - not a fan of changing the active GM bonus from max 7 pot to max 8 pot... think it will cause further parity issues - last but certainly not least, still a huge fan of instituting a cross league bonus for GHL/INHL/RLHL... maybe as simple as 20 con point bonus for spending a full league year in each league, given at each rollover in each league... think it is easy to coordinate and by far the best idea I can think of for adding GM's.
One more note to add and I am pretty certainly everyone is aware, but huge kudos to Joe for starting up his centralized EHM facebook concept. This is one of the best initiatives I have seen for keeping EHM alive in I don't know how many years... I am lazy and don't have much use for Facebook, but I think since FHockey went down and The Blue Line semi picked up the slack, we have been lacking for any centralized source of EHM knowledge/discussion/feedback etc... hoping maybe this can be the solution and will certainly be checking things out more in depth this weekend.

What if we kept the boost for current drafts, but then added more boosts to previous drafts? For instance, 15 boosts for the current, 10 more for last year, 5 more for 2 years prior. That way in total, a draft year will get 25 boosted players after all is said and done but it still keeps it unpredictable.
