Draft 2016/17

The 2015/16 Draft will start no later than Midnight (24:00) Tuesday 24th of May (or 00:01 Wednesday 25th of May if you prefer)


Draft Rules

1. Each GM has a time slot of 3 hours for the 1st, amd 2nd rounds and 2 hours for 3rd, 4th and 5th rounds to make their pick.

2. As soon as the pick immediately prior to yours has been announced, you may announce yours. You do not have to wait for your allocated time slot. You need not wait for all prior picks to be made if an earlier GM missed his slot.

3. If it reaches your time slot and the GM before you has not made his pick, you may announce your pick.

4. If a GM misses their time slot they will be given the highest available draft pick remaining after 12 hours from your start time by a member of the staff in the first 3 rounds, and 6 hours in rounds 4 and 5.

5. If you cannot make the time slot please submit a draft list to all members of the staff by private message in the forum.


I need someone, or a couple of people, to volunteer to help look after the draft and receive draft pick lists from people. You will need to be available on a regular basis to check lists and post selections in order to avoid people missing their time slots.

6. Caretaker GMs will pick for teams that do not have an active GM. The first staff member to become available may pick, this, hopefully, will ensure a random selection of picks are made for GM-less teams.

7. As the draft progresses draft times will NOT be updated. This is to prevent confusion over times slots experienced in previous drafts. So what you see is what you get.

8. Please determine that the drafting positions listed are correct and if any changes need to be made notify one of the staff via PM. Is better to indicate it before the admins input the draft in the GHL file.

9. If a team wishes to simply draft the best player available (highest CSB ranking) please inform one of the staff through PM or a reply to this thread in order to avoid a long wait for a pick you will not make.

10. Posted draft times are in Eastern Standard Time (not GMT EST=GMT-5 hours), and are when your time slot ends. Below is a link to a world clock set to GMT, please use this as your reference. I will be.

11. A listing of all available players will be posted prior to the first selection of the draft. The list will be based on the CSB rankings of the last file of the regular season. Please use the rankings on the listing so hopefully it will be easier for the admins to input following. This is list is to follow as its a big draft and has to be written by hand

12. The GM MUST post the CSB rank after the name of the player by the CSB list

Ok folks the Draft is over. A poor draft I know and whilst it looks bad with all those auto picks showing, we have never listed autopicks so obviously before so it stands out a lot but in reality, only 54 out of a 150 picks were auto picks and some of those on request.

Anyway its done now.

As game 7 is being simmed sunday I can pretty much move straight on to putting in the draft, doing boom and bust and getting the off season started. I'll get the off season schedule posted on Sunday. The draft will probably happen Tuesday depending on what time I have after work, or Wednesday as i'm off work. Boom and Bust I'll try and do the rolls and post results for Monday.
