The league board has suspended Carolina Hurricanes player Kirill Petrov for 9 games for injuring François Beauchemin of San Jose Sharks.

François Beauchemin (SJ) suffered thigh injury during the game in an incident with Kirill Petrov (CAR). He is expected to be sidelined for a couple of months. Last time I was injured in that area I came back too soon. I'm not going to come back until I'm able to go 100%, he said from the locker room after being helped off the ice.

The league board has suspended Carolina Hurricanes player Kirill Petrov for 9 games for injuring François Beauchemin of San Jose Sharks.

François Beauchemin (SJ) suffered thigh injury during the game in an incident with Kirill Petrov (CAR). He is expected to be sidelined for a couple of months. Last time I was injured in that area I came back too soon. I'm not going to come back until I'm able to go 100%, he said from the locker room after being helped off the ice.
