LINES
-Preferably sent in the form of a set of zipped up "LNS" files. Use the "Save Lines" button on the Lines tab in EHM to create the files.
-If you think you'll want to switch goalies for one of the games or change the lines a bit, the best way to do it is to just save a separate LNS file for that date.
-Don't forget to create lines for your Farm team.
-I put the sim date that each LNS file applies to right in the file name.
-I also put in whether the LNS file applies to the Pro team or Farm team.
-Sample file names:
Rangers_PRO_15-3-2006.lns
Rangers_FARM_15-3-2006.lns
Penalty-killing Tip:
The player on the right in SH lines takes the faceoff.
Rules Regarding Lines (TO BE MODIFIED PENDING UPDATED RULES):
General Shift Length:
All lines must last a minimum of 30 seconds
No line may exceed 80 seconds.
Hit and Grind Rule:
The Hit and Grind tactic may be used within the game but with the following restrictions.
1) Hit and Grind may not be used on more than two lines
2) Hit and Grind may not be used on the 1st AND 2nd lines together but may be used on either one seperatly or alongside the 3rd or 4th lines.
3) The maximum length of a hit and grind line may be 40 seconds
PLAYER CONTRACT OFFERS (TO BE MODIFIED BASED ON CURRENT RULES)
-Minimum info required: Player name, Offerred length, Base Salary, and Bonus.
-May also include at GM's discretion: Team Option, Player Option, 2-Way Contract, and No Trade Clause.

-I always keep Free Agent offers separate from Contract Extensions to my own players.
-Sample:
Free Agent Contract Offer:
Wayne Gretzky - Center, 18 yrs old
Base: $10,000,000
Bonus: $1,500,000
