We've had a few incidents now where people are taking banter and comments a bit to far. We've had one GM leave, another say they are considering leaving, and a couple of others saying they don't like what they are seeing.
I like banter, I like rivalries, I like taking the mickey out of people. However... it needs to be done correctly and in consideration of others. If you don't know a GM well enough to know how they will respond to a 'joke' then don't make the joke. If you do do something and it's clear they didn't appreciate it, don't do it again.
Please don't insult other GM's, either the things that they say or the things that they do.
If you want to create a rivalry, try doing it through the game, how results turned out, what players got whooped in a fight, what goalie has more holes in him than the Warren report. Don't go after the GM personally.
We have a decent bunch of people here and I've seen many of them create strong rivalries over the years and have a good laugh without the need for insults so I'm sure we can do it again.
Please guys, there is a reason why this is the first rule of the league.
Section 1: General Conduct
1.01. First and Foremost this league is about FUN. It is the responsibility of every member of this league to behave in a polite and considerate way towards each other. Abusive behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.
I don't believe there has been any real malice towards anyone yet, but if these things are not stopped its very easy for frustrations to turn to anger to turn to abuse. Lets not go there.
