Looking thru the player file I see a number of players between 17 and 19 years old who are not available for the next draft (not in the CSB). For example:
Jakob Chychrun (17) Auston Matthews (17) Sean Day (17) Luke Kirwan (17)
Are they still considered too young? Kirwan turns 18 during in just a few weeks.

They are eligible as they are...well at least Matthews is...the draft pool for the upcoming NHL draft. I had noticed when I was scouting the draft that there were players that were assigned a non draft eligible number, I can't remember what it was and I don't have my spreadsheet here at work. Stephen needs to edit the file and change their status number to the same as the rest of the draft pool.

The number is 100. I'll look at changing the file on my days off this week.

Draftable players are 99 but these players show up as 100, that's why they are not appearing in the draft. I'm looking at how to change them all to 99 in one easy go as I don't want to do them all individually - there are 133 players in total and some look pretty decent.
Change done, 133 new faces in the draft, for a total of 623 players. Should be a good draft year.

623??? That's insane. I guess there will be a lot of retirements next year.

Remove all 100's. Let the game it self take care of generating new players and decide which will retire.
Wasn't this one of the reasons we restarted.

The 100 wasn't a stat or a ceiling, it was the number the player was assigned for owner ship.
1 = Anahiem. 30 = Washington. 98 = UFA 99 = Draft Eligible
100 was new, never seen it before. Nearly all were of draft eligibility age, though I did notice some were as young as 14. All we have done is change them to 99 so they are available in the draft. None of their stats or ceilings were changed so there will be no players with all their stats in the 90+ range as there was before.
What it may have done is add depth to the draft with decent players available throughout the 1st and possible second rounds, with some decent finds in the 3rd and 4th rounds as well, instead of only the top half of the 1st round being decent and then hoping to get lucky with the rest of the 1st and 2nd rounds and no one giving a monkeys about the rest of the rounds.

I'm guessing the roster file creator used it as a way to get some younger players into the game before their draft year so that game-players could manually change 100-->99 when those players were to be ready. Though that's a lot of players to have to manually change, I think.

I recommend watching how many draft eligible players there are in the game. If we are over 400 again we need to change the older players to be UFA's so folks can fill out their farm team.

After the draft i'll make every player left in the draft over 20 in to UFA players.
