Hi all - I think Flavio has been busy and so I'm going to run the Boom/Bust now... The following aspects of the rule are based on the written league rules and, though they may have been discussed when we started the GHL reboot, there's was no strong opinion around changing them: - There will be 6-10 booms and 4-8 Busts determined by a random dice roll. This was not something we discussed at length in the old GHL boards and so I don't want any additional controversy. We can always change this for next season.
- For Booms, all players are eligible.
- For Busts, only players selected in the 1st 3 rounds are eligible.
- If a player's # comes up twice in the Boom, then another number will be rolled.
- Same for a Bust.
- However, if a Player's # comes up once in Boom and once in Bust, it's a wash for that player - they cancel each other out and no additional numbers will be rolled for that.
Dice rolls use the following link: www.pbegames.com/rollerEmails will be sent to me with the results but also to the league email address to keep things honest.

BOOMS: 98. Minnesota Wild - Jordan Greenway (CSB 37) POT: 74==>84 CON: 81==>86
54. Phoenix Coyotes(via Colorado Avalanche) - Ryan Pilon (CSB 68) POT: 78==>88 CON: 86==>91
41. Atlanta Thrashers - Jack Sadek (CSB 128) - POT Boost no longer necessary POT: 68==>78 CON: 91==>95
1. Phoenix Coyotes - Connor McDavid (CSB 1) - No Change - POT and CON already ridiculous POT: 98==>98 CON: 100==>100
120. Nashville Predators(via Los Angeles Kings) - Veeti Vainio (CSB 140) - Another POT Boost taken care of POT: 68==>78 CON: 92==>95
13. Vancouver Canucks(via Dallas Stars) - Thomas Chabot (CSB 65) POT: 78==>88 CON: 89==>94
127. Toronto Maple Leafs - Auguste Impose (CSB 235) - Probably the biggest winner due to huge CON increase POT: 73==>83 CON: 56==>80
BUSTS: 72. Detroit Red Wings(via Boston Bruins) - Matt Murphy (CSB 263) POT: 71==>61 CON: 68==>58
4. Carolina Hurricanes - Louis Bruneau (CSB 93) - Easily the most painful Bust POT: 85==>75 CON: 59==>50
38. Minnesota Wild - Arkhip Nekolenko (CSB 266) POT: 74==>64 CON: 50==>50
70. Vancouver Canucks(via Edmonton Oilers) - Vince Dunn (CSB 171) - Possibly the least painful Bust POT: 68==>68 CON: 86==>76

Decent number yes - but far below what a 1st overall pick should do. If McDavid busted here, he might still be an OK player but wouldn't have been worth picking there (if we could predict the future). Busts used to be much worse, if I recall correctly. We used to drop Ceilings - some by 20 points (not that that's any consolation). In this format, Great players become OK and OK players become barely NHL-level. I think that's not terrible and you've got a shot next draft of having a 4th rounder Boom.

Definitely not setup. I ran it and I didn't benefit from it one bit - and I wouldn't have hit Jimbo with a bust ( ). Also, there is all the info you need to verify the results of the dice rolls - each post above with the results of the dice rolls has a copy and paste from the site with the info and contains that verification link. The results were emailed to my email address as well as the league's email address (which I do not have access to) to further ensure honesty. They were totally random.

Vancouver really lucked out. He got a Boom and his Bust is still eligible for a POT boost!
