We have to update the boom/bust part in the current league rules topic.
Also, are we setting a new TC. There's been a few seasons since we last had an active TC. It wasn't really needed as most of the GM core was an established one and we got to know the talent level leaguewide, so, we had a better sense of a 'fair trade'. With this restart and the new 'talent level' and all the new incoming GMs (even experienced ones), maybe we should reinstate a new TC.
What do you guys think?

I think we should have it. At the very least, as a watchdog group even if we don't formalize them into the trade process.

Can we maybe flex the rules on the Juniors to Farm for this first season? It looks like many teams have a lot of players under 20 currently on the Pro Roster. These are players we wouldn't normally have signed yet without a place to put them.

I support usually no underagers at farm, but if used then max 2 or system 1 for top teams 2 for mid and 3 for low.

I like the status quo of 2 per team, as well as the restrictions that come with that (can't be called up and sent back down during the season, etc)

I'm with Wild, I don't like having underagers allowed on the farm. The rules say 2, and I feel that it would be unfair to people who already planned on having 2 on the farm this season, but in general I think it encourages tanking (because you can very easily speed up your prospect development). I know people don't like the restrction because they want to get their prospects developed asap, but that's the cost of trying to do a rebuild, I think.

You guys are missing the point. Some of these pre-existing rosters that we have all inherited have 5, 6 or even more under 20 guys on the PRO roster already. Most of these players are currently useless at the PRO level. Normally we would be managing our own rosters and be able to keep this from happening. I'm just asking for a way to remedy the current situation, not a future rule change. Try trimming your roster to 23 and then let me know what you think.

I'm just sending mine back to Juniors. None of them are getting paid so much that it's a problem.

As with NYR, I was just going to send mine to junior. But then, I also wouldn't play 3 of my 4 even as underagers, so...

I think some of you are missing why some of the teams have "underaged" players on the farm team as this is actually possible in real life. Currently the NHL has agreement with CHL (the body that oversees all 3 major junior leagues in Canada) where any player that has played in the CHL if under 20 has to go back and play juniors. This rule in no way shape or form applies to Europeans (that have not suited up for a junior game) and players that spent time in the NCAA. NHL teams can sign those players and put them on the AHL farm teams regardless of whether or not they are 20.
While I have not checked the file at all yet but I would have to guess that many of the players fall into that situation.

While I have not checked the file at all yet but I would have to guess that many of the players fall into that situation. Except that the vast vast majority of 18 and 19 year old Europeans and college players either stay where they are or go to the CHL. If you go to www.eliteprospects.com/league.php?season=2014&leagueid=AHL&sort=u20&leagueteam=&nation=&name=&order=GP you can see all of the U20 players in the AHL --> this year, there were 44 skaters and 1 goalie. However, only two played more than 40 games, and only six played more than 15 games (two of whom were also loaned back to their Euro teams at one point). The vast majority of these players joined their AHL teams once their CHL, Euro, or NCAA seasons ended. So if you're going to base this on reality, then we should give each Euro or NCAA player about a 4% chance of choosing the AHL.
