1) Is the draft run at the same time as the playoffs or after? Couldn't find this anywhere.
2) Now that the deadline has passed, if we agree on trades that will take place in the off-season, are we allowed to post them anytime? Most leagues I've been in let you do this.
Also, I was reading the part in the rules where UFAs go back into the pool when their contract is up, to prevent crazy offers and such. I thought of a much more simple alternative, which has worked in a couple leagues I've been in. If you want to sign someone to a second UFA contract, the dollar value must be at least the value of his current contract. Or 10% higher or something.
I mean, for me as a contender, if I sign a guy at 32 who fills a need perfectly, I want to have him till he retires, and then I have to let him go for nothing at 34, that kinda sucks. I think the rule I suggested would accomplish the same thing.
Thoughts?

1) Yes the draft will be run along the same time as the draft. I'll dig the timings out and post them later. We sped it up at the end of last season on a trial basis and I think it worked well we will go with the same schedule again and it should see the draft completed by the time the play-offs finish.
2) You can post trades at any time, it makes no difference to me as a simmer. Posting straight away means you guys wont forget and miss out.
3) I need to look at that UFA rule because I'm not sure it reads as it was ment to. The only UFA rule we should have in place is that you cant sign a UFA to really high contract to get him, and then sign him to a lower contract immediately after. I see no reason to not allow ufa signings once the trade deadline has gone or the play offs start - some deadline close to the end of the season so the signing process cant be abused.
