You are putting in a claim for a player that will put you over the cap. How is that stupid?

There is some leniency on going over the cap, such as if you sustain injuries...you get 1 sim to fix it. But making a roster move that blatantly puts you over the cap, whether it's by a trade, waiver pick-up, or a contract, is not allowed.

If you want to claim him, make an appropriate roster move that will give you the cap space to fit him under first, then make the claim.

A team should not be able to just exceed the cap during the season. You need to have the cap space necessary before you make the move
