Decisions on New Rules
RFA releases:
This was kinda done, but was a little more difficult than anticipated. I ended up releasing players who had been RFA for TWO seasons as going with a single season after the play-offs ran the risk of releasing players teams intended to try and sign. However, that doesnt address the issue of RFA's who teams cant afford rather than dont want, so, next season, if a player is RFA at the start of the play-offs, teams have until the end of the first round to put in a realistic contract offer, or they will be marked for release at season end.
New Compensation Levels:
There wer no objections so these will go in to effect. However, there is an amendment. I did say that once the regular season started there would be no offer matching. There are a couple of teams who have been trying to sign players and those players are being little gits and wont sign what are reasonable offers. I will allow offer matching for the first 3 sims of the season but after that, no more offer matching.
POT reward usage:
POT reward was suggested to be able to increase height by an Inch, more than happy for this to go ahead.
CON reward usage:
Used to reduce greed or increase PEN instead. Approved.
72 Game Goalie:
We wont reduce the limit this season, but we seem to have improved the goalie pool so we will look at a reduction next season.
Teams will need 5 goalies on the roster. Goalies reaching their limit will not be moved to the farm, there is no need, they just cant be used as back up, so you need 5 goalies.
Changing or Adding a Forward Position:
Was approved last season but not properly communicated I guess. Yes, if you want to have an alternate position, just ask.
Injury reduction:
The game does like to pick on teams and hammer them with injuries. I'll review this over the season but for now i'm going to say a team can only have ONR player on indeffinate injury list. If a second is injured like that I will set the limit to 3 months. No other reductions. Injuries are a part of the game, but I understand the frustraion and think there should be some balancing out.
