What about changing the time limit for draft picks to 2 hours for rounds 1 & 2, and 1 hour for 3, 4, 5?

As much as everyone would like to see things move faster I don't believe that this would be a benefit. We run the draft during the playoffs and as long as it finishes before the playoffs than it is effectively as fast as it needs to be. Forcing a quicker time table will in my opinion just exacerbate the activity issue. I have shifts at work as long as 12 hours and it can be a chore to dig up 5 players that I would like to spend my pick on let alone having to do 12.

I could see drafting from a list as an option if you are wanting to speed the draft but I don't believe the speed of the draft to be an issue.

I have to agree with Doug as I also do not see the point in making the drafts any faster then they are.  To late in the game so to speak for this version of EHM and the drafts do finish around the time of the end of the playoffs.

Fair enough. I just thought with the fact that we really only have around 10 GMs making picks, it would help make things a little easier

Good suggestion, I just think it is too late in the life of the game and most folks barely login now to make the change worthwhile. I just feel that it may have the opposite effect and put more pressure that is not currently needed on GM's.

Not so much a rule change, but is anyone able to recruit some more GMs? I tried to get Joe to come back, but no luck so far.

Also, remember that you can always become a caretaker of an open team.
