Last season we saw rookie sensation Petteri Korkiakangas of the Columbus Blue Jackets running away with the league. Not only was he the best rookie at the time, he was also leading all playes in overall points before he tooks a serious groin injury 33 games in and was sidelined for almost a year. (though he played for team Finland in the World Championships scoreing 5 goals and 6 assists in 6 games)
He played his first game on the 7th of October against Chicago, and he scored. 11 days later he recorded his first hatrick against the Colorado Avalanche. He was named Rookie of the Month in both months prior to his injury and he scored 48 points in 33 games.
So what makes the Finnish Freak so Freakin awesome?
Lets compare him with an established star of the game Michael Hoyal, winner of multiple MVP's, a GHL Cup ring, over 100 points in the last 3 seasons, multiple all star nominations, etc... and with team mate and league legend Sidney Crosby

Joe made the right choice drafting him. He should have went 1st OA. Even though he had low CON at first, all it takes is a bit of work and he'd turn into the top player in the game
