I will answer for Stephen as I am one of the remaining originals in this league and he will not have an issue with me doing so.
Download the last file update and you will be able to see from the GM names what teams are available and If New Jersey is available then I see no issues with you taking over the team. I can not verify the availability as I do not have access to the game file at this time.
Stephen will not have an issue with you picking an available team to run so just pick one then post an introduction to the league with some details about yourself.

Definitely not stupid questions. I'm not caretaking Detroit, not sure how that ended up there, but a search of posts suggests that Tampa is. Still, it's more important to have more GMs, so if you want Detroit I think you can just claim it. Tampa can either choose a different team to caretake or just have less work to do. I do see that there is a Devils GM who apparently logged in on July 11th, but hasn't posted anything since February 13th, so I don't know what's up with them. (I should note that I took the list of teams from those that Stephen was drafting for just two months ago) |

Yes I am running Detroit and I'm pretty positive New Jersey is open.
If Stephen says that NJ is no longer open then I will give up DET but I would prefer to keep running them if possible.
The GM list needs a major update as there are gms listed that are no longer here and teams that have gms not listed at all.

Sorry folks been away for a few days meeting a long lost cousin we didnt know about for 46 years. Apparently my Aunt had a kid and gave him up for adoption turning it in to a big secret.
Anyway...
New Jersey are available. The GM logged in on the 11th to let me know he was giving EHM up for a while. Current teams avialable are (with team slooking after them) Anaheim (PHO), Atlanta (PHO) Buffalo (PHO), Calgary (PHO), Carolina (LAK), Colorado (PHO), Columbus (PHO), Detroit (TBL), Florida (STL), Minnesota (PHO), NJ Devils (PHO), NY Islanders (PHO), NY Rangers (WSH). Pittsburgh (EDM), San Jose (PHI), Vancouver (PHO). I'll update all the teams on the next sim and i'll go update the team list on the boards now. (Team list updated, rosters all updated and previous season stats all updated)
So you have your pick of any team you like really. There are some interesting teams out there, but i'm the worlds worst EHM player so all the teams i'm looking after are probably doing a lot worse than they should. Columbus would be my choice I think, but like I said, worlds worst player.
Sims are (generally) Mon, Wed, Fri - but I dont have a 9 to 5 job and it does have to change, and sometimes at short notice, but its reasonably consistant. Lines and instructions need to get sent to ghllines@gmail.com preferably by 8pm GMT on the day of the sim. I always say I may start the sim later than 8pm, but never earlier, so as long as lines are in by then they will get used. Any later and I can't guarantee they be in time.

Thanks all for answering! Sure, picking Detroit seems more interesting as they seem to be contenders, but it is a bit cheating for me as well I would like to build a team myself and as I am a NJ fan since 1999 (yes, yes, a bit of glory-hunting), I will take the Devils. My name is Artemy, I am from Russia, St.Petersburg I am 35, play offline EHM since 2005-2006 I guess I liked this league as there are not so many 85+ guys, than in others, though there are still plenty of them I wrote a couple of programs in Basic, that form Draft players future abilities and help search players with certain attributes If anyone would like I can share it Thank you! |

Thank you for a bug report, will try to fix it Hope the file here search.xls (693 KB) will help anyone somehow I made it with the same Search file, probably I have an older version of Excel or some dll are not missing The search file contains current attributes, click, contract and so on. Hope, with Excel filters you will be able to search players you need Thank you |

1.18 or 1.16?
the last one allows to sign European players after the 1st of September, and I want to sigh to junior Europeans to send them to farm
If you use 1.18 can you make an exception for NJ as the team was without a manager and missed the opportunity to develop players quicker
