Ok, they are finally here.
Reward Increase
The end of season POT increase reward is increased from a limit of 7 to 8 for out field players only. Goalies remain limited to 7.
UFA Boosts
The proposal is to boost the potential of a random number of UFA players between the age of 21 and 23.
Their POT scoe will be increased up to:
7 for players with 4 or 5
8 for players with 6 or 7
9 for players with 8 (there are iunlikely to be many of these)
Goalies will be included, so we could see a few POT 8 goalies appears
As the commish will know who the boosts are before anyone else he will send sealed bids to a GM to be designated each eason and they will declare if the bid was legitimate if challenged.
Past Draft Boosts
15 Rolls on a 1d150 against the draft two years previous from the current draft.
A mximum POT increase of 8 will be in place.
Teams over the CAP Limit
Teams over the cap limit will have 3 sim's to get their cap below level and their highest salaried player will be benched until this happens.
After 3 sims, if the team is not under the cap then that player will be released.
Releasing players after 1 week is something that is already in place. But a week is 3 sims and potentially 10 games so the new part of the rule is that the highest salaried player is immediately benched to penalise the team and hopefully encourage teams to pay attention and not go over the cap in the first place, as well as to manage small rosters in case of injury requiring an auto signing that may put them over the cap limit.
Prospect Salary Limits
This rule, where minimum salaries are put in place depending on draft position, will be removed.
Almost no one follows it and it is simply far too much work for me to check up on players. It has never realy achieved what it was ment to, which was to cause salary hardship and see top end players released to UFA.
70 Game Goalie Limit
Goalies who reach the 70 game limit will be benched and replaced with a goalie from the AHL. A new goalie for the AHL may be auto signed if necessary.
Goalies who exceed the 70 game limit will be benched for that number of games in the play-offs.
