Sorry there isn't a better write up this time round. Bit of an awkward week for the finals to fall on i'm afraid and not much time.
Plenty going on in this game though. Detroit really took a hammering in the opening periods despite taking the lead. Atlanta pummeled their goal outshooting the redwings 12-4 and 15-6. Detroit managed a better third period but were still outshot 15-11. They may have done better in the closing minutes but David Ullstrom was called for sitting and his team were unable to either mount and offence for the final two minutes of the game, or pull their goalie for the extra attacker. It should also be pointed out that over half the Thrashers shots came on the powerplay, of which they had many.
Detroit switched goalies in the 3rd and although Hellberg wasn't playing terrible, Coreau played better and kept a clean sheet for his time on the ice. The Redwings were out passed, out shot, out hit and out scored. Changes are needed.

Meh, I've been here before. Jim always has a way of neutralizing early series leads. Game was close in terms of the score, and we were gifted 8 PP's. I highly doubt we'll see the same tomorrow.
