So playoffs teams on lottery but non-playoffs not ?

Juha, its based on points. The disparity in East vs. West playoff teams is really pronounced -- 81 points got you 8th seed in the West, but 97 got you the 8th seed in the East.

Draft lottery is based on overall standings (by points), not playoff versus non-playoff teams.

Its something we can look at, but it would be a bit of a pain. I think the only time we changed the standings was when ottowa didnt make the play-offs but was ranked higher than a play-off team, even though they were on exactly the same points. That caused a mini headache.
