As our previous discussions seemed to work out pretty well for the reward system I want to get the ball rolling on next season discussions.
First up, con booster trades. It got raised in chat that there are not many successful con boosts but a lot of con busts in trades. We already have a rule in place to limit those busts butpeople raised the idea of increasing boosts through dice rolls rather than letting the AI decide.
What are peoples suggestions for doing this? Any system would need to be transparent for all otherwise it wont be done.

There would be more boosts if the trades were entered before the sim. The current rules are fine. As long as the player isn't traded back to orginal team in the same year, let the deals flow from team to team

Why would doing the trades at the start of the sim make any difference? The roll over is still the same.
After completing the games for day 6 I save the game. I then input the trades and roll over to the next day without saving. Thats no different to opening the gamefile, inputting the trades and then rolling forward.
I used to input trade at the start of the sim. It made no difference to boosts or busts but it caused huge problems with lines.

Because saving before the roll over eliminates boosts. Thats why

Only if you save after the trade and before the roll over. Which im not doing. And if there is only a single trade, I dont even bother saving at all.

I think in the case of GHL from what I've heard is that there are little to no boosts happening the current way its being done. I have seen a much higher probability of boosts in leagues that enter trades at the beginning of sims. Since feedback was asked for, if the goal is to increase boosts, my vote is to do them at the start of the sim, and evaluate after a season the difference

OK, i'll change to the start of the sim, but only if both teams send in lines. Otherwise it will have to wait until they do.

If it causes such an issue, perhaps we just look at randomly bringing the percentage up to a certain amount? Avoids all problems with simming and gives us a true EHM experience.

I know in INHL, I enter all trades before the sim, and I don't save before the rollover to the first day if there are con trades. If someone does not send in lines, they usually get autoed, or I try to plug in someone not playing. It is the GMs fault for not sending stuff in.
